NAVUG Summit 2016 Coming Soon
October is a mere month and a half away, and I couldn’t be more excited! NAVUG Summit is my favorite conference, and this year’s event is looking to be the most promising yet.
Sure, it may seem far away to many, but as a sponsor, there are a million things to do. While ArcherPoint has been planning, I took some notes and thought I’d share my Tips for Tampa with the community at large.
With nearby hotels selling out so quickly, many will rely on shuttles to get them to and from the convention center. Dynamic Communities intends to run shuttles to hotels that don’t provide a shuttle service. The thought is, if your hotel already offers a shuttle, you should use theirs. If they don’t, you should be covered. And then, there are other options such as Uber and Lyft, or walking the Riverwalk. You can inquire about shuttles when you check in at Summit registration once you are in Tampa.
I know several people are coming early or staying over after Summit to enjoy all Tampa has to offer, including the weather. If this is you, I recommend taking the Pirate Water Taxi to the renowned Lowry Park Zoo, enjoying food and drink in Ybor City (a short trolley ride from the convention center), or making time for a relaxing beach day. And if cigars or beers are your thing, Tampa has a rich history in cigar making that continues today, and a plethora of craft breweries to choose from.
If you are planning to attend, you can find the ArcherPoint tribe at booth 406 during expo hours, or in the many sessions of Summit.
