ArcherPoint opens its first international office in Chennai India
As our clients have gone increasingly global we have found that we need to go where they are to serve them best. Over a third of our clients are already global with offices around the world and we want to be able to offer them the same level of service no matter what time zone they are in.
Our plan is starting in Chennai we will be hiring and training people to handle international implementations of Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision), upgrades of existing implementations, and supporting both our own clients as well as clients and projects of other partners who require 24/7 support and specialized skill sets.
I am here in India and I am amazed at the energy and enthusiasm that people have for Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision). As we continue to build the team here I look forward to creating opportunities for our team members in India to help grow something extraordinary. Talking with people and conducting interviews I am constantly amazed at the commitment to education, learning, and personal growth that is demonstrated by almost everyone I have met.
In the coming days and weeks I hope to write blog articles about my experiences setting up an office In India which have been both fun and eye opening. No one could have prepared me for the traffic. I thought that Atlanta traffic was bad but I realize I had not seen anything yet. Yesterday I went from Chennai to Pondicherry on the East Coast Road (ECR) and talk about an adrenaline rush. There are temporary barriers erected at intervals on each side of the road to slow down traffic which often did not have the desired effect with everyone going as fast as possible serpentining through the barriers in a classic game of chicken.
Along the way we saw Mamallapuram and Matri Mandir in Auroville. Pondicherry is a former French colonial village on the coast and we ate at Le Dupleix the home of the former French colonial mayor. My colleagues her in India have been incredible hosts and have fed me way too much amazing food.  I am looking forward to my remaining time here, building an incredible team, and making many return trips in the future.
