Dynamics Business Central / NAV Developer Digest - Vol. 519

ArcherPoint’s Developer Digest focuses on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Dynamics NAV development. This week’s volume includes deprecated tables in BC 2025 release wave 1 (v26), viewing app compatibility with Admin Center, and the AI Agent and Copilot Summit NA 2025 in March.

The Dynamics 365 Business Central community, consisting of developers, project managers, and consultants, collaborates across various platforms to share valuable insights. At ArcherPoint, we greatly value their dedication and expertise. To ensure widespread access to this technical knowledge, we created Developer Digest.

ALERT: Deprecated tables will be removed in BC 2025 release wave 1

Microsoft is removing deprecated tables and fields, and this action might break some AppSource and Per-Tenant Extension applications that still rely on the deprecated objects.

Microsoft is urging developers to validate their apps against the new release to ensure any issues are identified and addressed as soon as possible.

Check out Microsoft’s blog, Essential Clean-Up Guide for Partners: 2025 Release Wave 1, to learn more.

See Deleted objects in 2025 release wave 1 for a list of the objects that will be deleted in this release.

View app compatibility using the Admin Center

Starting with Business Central’s 2025 release wave 1 (v26), administrators and developers can check app compatibility reports directly in the tenant’s Admin Center. This makes it easier to plan for changes in upcoming releases and identify potential problems.
