Dynamics NAV-Based Solution Options for Managing a Better Warehouse part 2
As discussed in the first WMS ISV blog, for companies running Microsoft Dynamics NAV as their enterprise resource planning (ERP), there exist several options to improve the supply-chain and manage a better warehouse. These options provided by independent software vendors (ISVs) offer tools with flexible features and functionality to run warehouses with varying functions, logistics, and sizes. This blog covers two of these ISVs, Insight Works and WithoutWire.
Option #3: Insight Works
Insight Works is a rapidly growing ISV based in Canada. Insight Works has developed a suite of products to augment NAV and, of course, warehouse management is part of that suite. This ISV offers Warehouse Insight, Advanced Inventory Count, and Dynamic Ship modules, which will cover a solid set of requirements for small and medium sized warehouse operations. Insight Works products typically embed into the NAV base code and thus achieve true integration with the parent software. It looks and feels like one unified solution. These products will be appropriate for on-premise and hosted NAV solutions. Insight Works software is priced aggressively and offers a good bang for the buck.

Option #4: WithoutWire
Without Wire, headquartered in Minnesota, offers a true cloud WMS solution that boasts a modern architecture, contemporary user interface (UI), and able to leverage the latest mobile technologies/products to support efficient warehouse operations. This solution runs outside NAV. However, Without Wire has developed a connector in conjunction with the integration experts at eOne Solutions to get everything working nicely together. The customer list would indicate that this solution is quite scalable.
