What's New in Dynamics 365 Business Central 21 (2022 Wave 2)
This first vlog in our series will outline the changes introduced to D365 Business Central in the 2022 Wave 2 (BC 21) release. In this video, we cover Account Schedules, how to find posted and non-posted document lines, mandatory variant codes, and item charges.
- The name, Account Schedules, has been changed to Financial Reporting. The functionality is the same, which makes more sense. Customers upgrading to this release just need to be aware so that when looking for this functionality, they know what to search for.
- Sales Lines, Purchase Lines, and other “line data” are now accessible from search out of the box. In previous versions, this was typically added by the partner.
- In Inventory Setup, when using variants, you can now require (mandatory entry) the variant code when entering the items on an order, journal, etc. You can create exceptions for items you don’t want to require the variant code. This is done on the individual item card.
- For partial receipts of goods, you can now set up to include partial item charges (ie, freight) for the partial order receipt.
